Dreams of gold and desert light.
He leaves his flock, his quiet land,
To chase a treasure buried in sand.

Fallacy

Fallacy
By Barner / Keisham Raju Singh

If this were fate,
Where sages starve and fools dictate,
Where wisdom wanes and folly reigns—
No beauty blooms
In this veiled design of doom.

If this were meritocracy,
Where toil earns no trophy,
And tireless minds reap no glory—
No talent thrives
In crowds where genius hides.

If this were civilization,
Where lust leads the legislation,
And rage replaces contemplation—
No intellect ignites
In minds that miss their heights.

If this were reality,
Where wealth fuels vanity,
And greed becomes humanity's sanity—
No rapture wakes
In souls that sleep through stakes.

If this were truth,
Where craving crowns uncouth,
And pleasure paints the path of youth—
No bliss shall bloom
In hearts that chase their tomb.
