Most of these poems were written in a time of great anguish. You see, I am a song writer, mostly. However, it seems that when I experience unusually high emotional pain, I find myself writing poetry/prose/whatever you call it. Words to express the inner self. I am not always so morose. These musings/complaints came out of a BAD time in life. Trials and Tribulations with a capitol 'T'. I am feeling much better now, thank you! But I don't ever want to forget the pains my wife and I experienced for almost 2 years, as these pains certainly help us share in the grieving of others. We have seen the light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. We are so thankful that God held us up and a few select friends, also, who took the time to listen carefully to the intricate details of an incomprehensibly complex set of circumstances. Most people didn't have a clue as to how to help. They stood by, watched us cry, and wondered when we would get over it. Well, we got over it...for the most part. Shell-shocked, broken, changed in quite a few ways...but we got over it. Now...we are working on getting back into life as we once knew it. We are finding it a little difficult, but we will get there! Amen! We will get there!
You see me now, all battle scarred,
Tired, and broken from the storms;
Beaten by the daily wars.
I wish you could have seen me then.

How many Christmases will you experience

It's not a fairy tale made up in someone's mind;
It's not a season when we try to be kind.

I’ll Cry With You
Wait until it happens to you.
Then you might be gentle;
