Stevens Cadet Biography

Stevens Cadet, is an American Author, Poet, Lacrosse Player and entrepreneur from Elmont, New York

1992-2011: Early life and career beginnings
Stevens was born in Long Island, New York, on August 6th,1992. He is the only son out of four siblings. He's an outstanding athlete who played Football, Lacrosse, Cross-Country and Track and Field at Elmont Memorial High School.

He went on to receive a scholarship to play Lacrosse at The University of DC

Stevens started writing poetry at the age of nine, when his cousin (Gregory Leonard) showed him the basics of imagery, creative writing and rhyme. Inspired mostly by rapper/poet Tupac Shakur, Langston Hughes and Maya Angelou, Stevens developed an early passion for performing at open mics and creating visuals for his poetry. He is also inspired by the music genre of Neo - Soul.

At the young age of 12 years old, his English teacher started entering his work in the school paper poetry contest without his knowledge. His talents were quickly recognized as he won his very first contest for his poem called 'Lyfe'.

He also competed at " Apollo Night" , which was an event held at Hofstra University in 2009 where he won first place.

Today, Stevens still writes poetry, makes visuals and performs in his spare time as he has developed a passion for Nanotechnology, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

Stevens Cadet, has founded an Artificial Intelligence/Nanotechnology Company called Architect Industries Inc. and plays for the Haiti Lacrosse team, as their team captain.
