Sanu Sharma is a Nepali language novelist, short story writer, lyricist, and poet. With a career spanning several years, she has produced a diverse body of work, comprising seven novels, a collection of short stories, a collaborative collection of Ghazals, and numerous lyrical compositions.
Her prose writing is characterized by a dedication to addressing the struggles faced by women, girls, and marginalized individuals. Through her literary works, Sanu strives to bring attention to familial and societal issues often left unexplored in literature. Among their notable accomplishments is the recognition received by her collection of short stories, 'Ekadeshmaa, ' which earned a prestigious nomination for the Madan Puraskar, a revered Nepali literary award, in 2018.
Sanu Sharma's novels and short stories have been adapted into audio and visual performances by numerous admirers. Her latest novel, 'Tee Saat Din' (translated as 'Those Seven Days') , was published in September 2023.
