It took her away from us,
Pain unbearable it was
Holes left in hearts
Unconsolable everyone was
...

The body, fed up with poor governance
Up in arms, on the streets it went
Placard, water bottle, national flag, armed it was
Demanding for better

Radiant Her Smile Was, Shall Be Missed

It took her away from us,
Pain unbearable it was
Holes left in hearts
Unconsolable everyone was
For heavily we hoped she'd heal

I recall the visit
On hospital bed she lay
Strong she tried to be
A bright smile she tried to wear
Still Pain, I could see in her eyes

Early morning all rushed out
As wild fire news spread
No more pain she had to face
Breathe her last she'd taken
Cold she lay, to another world departed

I remember the requiem
As my aunt's first born narrated it all
Heavy my heart was
No one deserves such experience
Hard we tried not to have a break down

With teary eyes, in silence we watched
As he told of her suffering to the last
Walking she couldn't bone eaten away
Pain to core she felt with nerves damaged
To total silence cancer put her

All the struggle and pain gone
As Six feet deep she rest
Let her rest they all said
Taken early from us she'd been
By cancer the monstrous disease

Suddenly the compound deserted
Lonely they must've felt
A new beginning it was
Holes left in hearts
But with hope time will heal
