My favorite moon 'facts' are that the moon resulted from the collision of a massive asteroid with much younger earth, possibly still molten. The moon rocks collected seem to evidence that this is true as well. They are very similar to earth rocks. So it seems to follow that the moon is much less a 'moon' and more a sister planet. I am not aware of any other known discovered planet that has a moon revolving around it that is nearly so substantial.

Another incredible fact is that it is no accident that the same side of the moon always faces the earth. Physics can prove that this must be the case given time at least. The moons tides on the earth and the earth's tides on the moon produce heat both places that slowed the rotation of both until the moon stopped rotating and appears as it does now (relative to the earth) ! Science (that doesn't kill us at least) is such fun!

Excellent poet with both metaphysical and spiritual power, combining through several different cognitive and emotional methods to create the true stature of the power of poetry. Also write insightful and uncannily well targeted observations on others' poetry. Seems to understand from the heart, not only from the words.
