My soul danced to the celestial notes
That with plenitude sifted out of heaven
And gently rained on my calm self
And caressed my whole being with such a touch
...

            The Saviour laughed and laughed
Seeing the pastor abandon and resign
His pastoral work before
He died
...

            When love is broken
It hangs about the lover walls
Like dirty plaster off a festering wound
That twitches and smarts
...

            They mined and mined
Inch by inch of the
Sacred scotched sandy oil garden
In the land between
...
