Very painful indeed! But so lastingly and caringly written!

Roger McGough who is ranked #23 on top 500 poets on date 23 November 2020 is an amazing poem of brilliance and beauty. He has written many beautiful poems which are liked by the readers. We feel is essence of writing.

A poet who observes the small but significant details of life, sometimes in a humorous way. When i start reading his poems, I wonder what the ending will be. Roger McGough is like an entertainer.

I like his poems, except those which deal with food or trivial things. A great humorist of the language.

I remember Roger McGough reading some of his own poems at the City of London Fair which took place in the City at lunchtime many years ago (I have been retired for 28 years) . I was quite new to his poems then but I enjoyed hearing him and also the likes of Judi Dench reading poems in City churches for free in the lunchtime during June each summer. Have not heard any poets reading their own poems since.
