Looking out o'er calm Loch Trool
from the seat of Bruces Stone
Rises up our kings Muldonach
standing regally alone

When the night falls on the day I die.
Promise me only...that you'll remember me with a smile.
Don't recall the times I failed...or the times I made you sad.
Think of me...when you need strength...to go that extra mile.

Stumbling, fumbling, falling
onto my knees in pain
Wretching, writhing, gasping
for air to breathe again.
...

Sometimes hazy, fading from my minds view
mostly clear, vivid to me, as I lie and think of you
Almost tangible but never quite close enough to touch
...

When first you walk these hallowed halls
And feel your heartbeat race
Take strength from all the friends you make
Enjoy these happy days
...

When darkness falls across the seas
And hides scarred rugged land
A beacon bright, breaks through the gloom
To guide the helmsman's hand.

Gathered here in silence...
it's not hard for us to see...
The love that binds the hearts and souls
of this grieving family.

The Greatest Generation has almost gone Those tough resilient souls…are crying out for rest We mourn them…helpless…as they fall…one by one Misunderstood some-times…they tried their very best.

War stole their childhood…and their smiles Replaced them with a steely…armoured veil That hid their tears…and pain…a while And made it harder… then… for them to fail.
