A stone from the well,
a dry tree leaf scattered,
a heart carved into the tree,
from these who could have known,
...

I came to the old well
remembering the childhood hell,
id look down the deep abyss,
those stories granddad always told,
...

Whispers of time in the breath of the wind,
and trees stand painted in moving light,
where rivers carve the earths deep veins,
...

In the shadows deep where dreams unfold,
man lays still though thoughts have sailed,
a world unseen from beyond the gaze,
where knowledge blooms in hidden ways,
...

I have known the scent of the earth after rain,
i have walked beneath the weeping pines,
i have heard the trains cry out at midnight,
and still i dont have that feeling i am home
...

pigeons fight for crumbs on cracked pavements',
like we fight for the meaning in our lives,
and i realize the difference is they are to busy
to even give a damn, they don't bother to think,
...

it wasn't sound it wasn't breeze,
it wasn't any parrots in those trees,
it cried like a unwelcome cry of pain,
the mosstree rubbed and touched my vain,
...

The heart of a poet beats out of time,
in rhythms that reason cannot define,
it bleeds in tears soft and slow,
where silence speaks and wild things grow,
...

The man on the land poured dust through hand,
when the dust takes flight in the red suns glow,
there is a man with a weathered face,
etched by the years and the outbacks grace
...

I wandered back to the old stone well,
where childhood fears once loved to dwell,
id peer into that endless deep,
where monsters stirred and shadows sleep,
