when a mother cries

...

Dear love if by chance you ever find me
My heart and I beg you keep your distance
Please do not make your presence known to me
Promise us you will hide your existence
...

Broken

Broken promises
Broken words
...

Longtime no talk
Longer time no see
Got me goin crazy over here
See what you doin to me
...

Glaring at a blank page
A perfect virgin white

Pen in hand, yet topic unclear
Of what will this poet write?
...

Where are you my dear friend
I have searched hi and low
These eyebrows have grown weary
They miss you more than you can know
...

I never want let you go
But ill probably never tell you so
Cause If I do you might never leave
Don't want you wasting your dreams on me
...

Tears I've held in for years
I fear, have been released
The pain that reigned my childhood
has found a way back into my heart
...

In the depths of solitude
Disquieting thoughts
Force weary eyes
To wait hopelessly open
...

The world around me is a ravenous monster
He does not stop to chew his meal
Rather he swallows whole, body and soul
If you search his inner parts for a heart
...

I'm sorry that I hurt you
I hope I didn't ruin it for her
I hope you let her know you
Let her love you like I should have done
...

That's the thing about pain
It demands to be felt
No matter how unwilling the victim
There are no exceptions allowed
...

What would I do without you?

You are the glue that holds my life together
The staple that keeps me from losing myself
...

From loneliness
And hopelessness
Jehovah rescued me
He gave me friends
...

Dear Father,

Where were you when I needed you?
I was in so much pain.
...

Waiting for my phone to ring
Yet trying to ignore my desire to hear your voice
Desperate times call for desperate measures
Just send me a text, please
...

I have here my pen and pad
And now I plan to prove my genius

If I can only get this stupid pen to work
...

Lost in a sea of emotions
Lost in the depths of my own thoughts
Lost without any notion
Lost and left distraught
...

My blessing

At some point in time
We will all need someone to depend on
...

The Best Poem Of Portia Lane

When A Mother Cries

When a mother cries,
Her tears stab at her daughter's heart
As they plummet to the floor

When a mother cries
Her daughter cries too
She cries because she does not know what is wrong
She cries because she can't get rid of her mother's pain
She cries most of all because she loves her mother

When a daughter cries because her mother cries
Her mother cries more
She cries because her pain has hurt her daughter
She cries because she does not want to see her daughter cry because of her
She cries most of all,
Because she loves her daughter

Once the tears have ceased however,
What remains is love
The love forever shared between a mother and a daughter
