I'm writing you this letter
Even though I know you'll never read it
There is no zip code for the dead
And God knows
The postal service doesn't
deliver to the deceased
But I write it anyway
In hopes my words will carry
Because I believe in one thing
Or maybe two
That our souls can still meet together
And these words serve as a bridge
And one way or another
We're bound to meet again
In light
In darkness
In the absence of all
I let go of hope
And desire
And gave myself to fate and faith
And I fall
Far from where we've been
