Zamora St. Iloilo City Poem by Jesus Diaz Llorico

Zamora St. Iloilo City

Rating: 5.0

'As I walked along this street
I feel the silence around
with dogs roaming aimlessly
and trees with it's dark leaves
moving silently from soft winds
the moon is covered by
dark clouds matching
the formation of flickering stars
scattered in the skies
I can see my shadows
beneath the damp lamp posts
and dark reflection
from the few watery pools
along the pavements
with my stress slowly
diminishing from my walk
I say to myself...
enough of this sentiment
for I am now
in front of my home.'

A vivid depiction of a daily routine of walking. Well crafted with great imagery.
