Zakat is the way, to share and care
To make the world a better place, to show that we are aware
From the bounty we receive, we give a portion away
To purify our wealth, and brighten someone's day

It is a blessing, for both giver and receiver
It's a source of mercy, a form of believer
It's a means of support, for the poor and the needy
A way to help, those who are truly seedy.

Zakat is more than just a ritual or a tax
It's a way of life, to live with empathy and impact It's a way to please God, and serve humanity
To bring a smile to every face, and nurture community.

Zakat is a call, to those who can hear
To lend a helping hand, to those who fear
It's a way to make a change, in this world we live To spread hope and love, and to give and forgive.
