Youth Growing Old Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Youth Growing Old

When I was young
I played in park
Until the dark
When lights went out
Seemed forever

A little older smarter
I worked in the park money
To pay rent and the damn bills
So many bills too few hills
For my teens to climb and play

Still older little smarter
Employed as social worker
Helping clients fight addiction
And discover their life's passion
Burning out mine own life's passion

More older little wiser
Employed as hypnotist
Finally found passion
Directing clients to
Forget about the past
Forget about future
Focus on success now
