Yourself As Well Poem by Dorsey Baker

Yourself As Well

Rating: 5.0

When you take the life
Of somebody that ain't
Bothering you
You are
Killing yourself
As well
You can do it from the land
You can do it from the sky
You can do it with
Bombs that fall
You can do it with
Bullets that fly
Mothers fathers children
Old people
Anybody it can be

Take the life
Of somebody that
Ain't bothering you
You are killing yourself
As well
The one who slaughters the sheep
Becomes a victim of the crime
Imprisoned in
A guilty state of mind
Then life is gone
Nothing but
A skeleton left behind
When you take the life of
Somebody that
Ain't bothering you
You are killing yourself
As well
Because within yourself
You become dead!
