You're My Poem Poem by Namita Rani Panda

You're My Poem

Fearing the society when you shun me in seclusion,
forgetting the promise that you fondly had taken.
Thousand quakes rapidly passed through my heart
that shattered my love to pieces wide apart.

But each debris, with deep devotion, chants your name
and boldly claims without any shame
"I'm your dame with an undying flame!
You're my name! You're my fame! "

You had promised me to be my sole soul mate,
how can you callously seal my fate?
You don't know that I can never be alone
as my heart is still your evergreen throne.

You're my only night and day dream,
you're the rhythm of my throb's rhyme,
the quakes strengthened my fortress of optimism
which provides my love persistent protection,
you can't stop my throb from chanting your name,
you're my breath, my never ending poem,
I ceaselessly weave words for you
with the infinite ink of love so true.

Wherever you maybe in my heart you ever shine,
my never setting Sun, you're ever mine.
I pour my tear and cheer on a piece of paper
which will be the longest love letter written ever.

It's as wide as the infinite sky blue
and as long as a perennial river that persistently flows.
But can these words express what I wish to say?
At least once you come and peep into my eyes.

Can the paper provide sweet solace of your warm embrace
and the loving touch of your warm lips?
Please come to sense from my profound silence what I want to say
What is the value of reading my letter after I pass away?
