Your Space Poem by Prem Nizar Hameed

Your Space

Your
Space
always
keeps for me
a mat in its heart;
I sit there like a disciple
because it is a Gurukul from where I learned much
lessons of improving my poetry writing skill;
many versatile poets were
and are here to gift;
Gurukul
Life is
so
sweet!

so
sweet
as love
and friendship
Krishna-Sudama
well portrayed centuries ago!
A sincere friendship needs to remember such stories
to enlighten the great value of the flattened rice
and the selfless bond they both shared;
May Your Space help all
carve out a
niche with
their
pen

(A Fibonacci inverted poem; Syllables: 1-1-2-3-5-8-13-13-8-5-3-2-1-1/1-1-2-3-5-8-13-13-8-5-3-2-1-1)

(Flattened rice- a packet of flattened rice was the humble and sincere gift Sudama hand carried for Krishna during his visit to Dwaraka)
