Your Mother Poem by Ray Hansell

Your Mother

Rating: 5.0

This is how you repay your mother
For all the things she's done
When you needed anything
She was always the one

Who would come running
With no questions asked
When it came to you
Nothing was too much of a task

When you were sick in bed
Who took care of you?
Who stayed right there by your side?
To help you the whole night through

Who was there in grade school?
To always lend a hand
No matter what you did
By your side she'd always stand

So how could you repay her
By being sent to jail
How could you get upset
When she wouldn't pay your bail

You see, her job of raising you
Was done when you turned eighteen
Now you must face the world
To find life is noy a dream

She protected you when you were young
Just like she's supposed to do
But now that you are an adult
Handeling your life is done by you

A wonderful and insightful poem that captures the love and responsibilities of a mother. Yes, there is a limit of a mother's responsibility.
