Your Lullaby Poem by Tshielo Nature Otsogile

Your Lullaby

Rating: 4.8

I promised to put ya to sleep..,
But i seem to have ran out of words i'd deem sweet..
sweet like the cupcakes you always eat, yet so gentle and warm..
warm like does to your hands a cup of tea...
i dont know if you an addict but for that time phrase i had wished you were,
so that everytime you craved some, i'd bring a cup with care..
maybe there was more to it than coffee..for i'd find myself lost in stare..
stares of adoration and wonder,
lost in the mist of your words as i listened only to your voice...
enchanted by the look in your eyes, your chubby cheeks as you'd shy away...
how magically all my vices in your presence die.
your mesmerising beauty that you somehow doubt, together with your priceless smile..
all this let all my fears subside.
and as you sleep i trust the other angels to protect you,
so that your thoughts not be split into two...but one long tranquil sweetdream,
if not filled with fairies, then butterflies..
Dreams fit for a benevolent queen.
