Your Love Saved Me

Memory of your kindness will never
Pass over my mind
For you rescued me!
Feelings from your goodness will forever
Hover in my mind
For you salvaged me!

When I was thrown to windstorm
Thought I'd be devoured by its motion
When I was pushed down to ocean
Thought I'd be imperilled by its restlessness
When I was fallen into bottomless pit
Thought I'd be menaced by its darkness
When I was launched into inferno
Thought I'd be destroyed by its hotness

You made the wind to whirl 'round me
And lifted me above
You ordered the ocean to breathe
And its salubrious air gave me hope
You commanded the pit to light up
And my way out was paved
You turned inferno to still river
And I swam easily out

This memory of kindness will never
Pass over my mind
This feeling of goodness will forever
Hover in my heart
And this I will tell the coming generations!
