Your Life's Route Poem by Randy McClave

Your Life's Route

I have heard stories and rumors all about of you
Mostly sad, mean hateful and it grew,
Did I believe what they said, including the dread
No, because you and your soul I truly knew.
We all do stupid things as a youth
I wonder if we lose smarts when we lose a wisdom tooth,
But, one day it will all unfold, maybe when we get wise and old
Where there will be no more rumors only the truth.
Sadly, some people enjoy lying and gossiping about others
It's their wishes, their revenge and their druthers,
They would rather tell a lie, and then fall down and cry
And then later asking for forgiveness underneath the covers.
Some people want you to always to be on their side
Especially when about a person they had lied,
So, they spread about more rumors, more harmful than tumors
So, they can keep up their precious pride.
I don't believe the stories about you that they have spoke
I see them as gossipers and jealous, envious people who like to poke,
If about them I knew more, unto them I would implore
That they are just a pitiful, lying pity seeking joke.
A lie and a rumor all start from a very small seed
Upon lies and gossiping they all do feed,
They then become the planted toy, from a devilish ploy
Then upon the mind and thoughts it becomes a weed.
They can say all the lies about you that they want
They can all also spread rumors and then with their lies taunt,
But, this I know and will say, until my dying day
In Hell one day those memories will return to them and haunt.
I have seen the people that you have helped out
Never at them did you ever judge, or screamed and shout,
So, here's an amen, because I was once one of them
And you helped me on my life's route.
