Your Kisses Linger Poem by Bree Z Love

Your Kisses Linger

In the early a.m
a breakfast is made.
It's never a hinder to provide
such an exchange.
I watch you intensely
in the compromising trade.
I never interfere
as the mind is already in gear.
As you lick the residue of assorted flavors;
from your fingertips
and the corner of your lips.
I'm remembering the kiss...

The freshly squeezed orange juice.
I secretly, Ohhh...
at the tempting chance
of accepting the bite.
but I watch instead;
Intensely;
watching you.
I'm remembering the kiss...

As you take each taste of whipped creamed cherries,
berry fused.
in such a delight
with a smile.
Listening to your Mmmmm...
and your savory
"Thank you Mame! "
Coincidentally, I reach over to give you mine.
A kiss to linger
like a powerful trigger.
Remember this kiss.
