Young and Innocent.
A thunderous bolt,
I hold on tightly,
Safe in her embrace,
Lazily cuddling,
The look in her eyes,
Her touch, her sweet smell,
Temptation, beyond bounds,
But then, I was young,
I was innocent,
To the movies,
Endless thrills,
A little tipsy but still in line,
The taxi ride,
The monument was right,
Her lips, her touch,
But again,
I was young, I was innocent,
Goodness! My dear,
Please say no more,
The wait too long,
The craving too strong,
Quench thy desire,
Relinquish thy innocence,
No! I cried, No! Again,
Afraid to be a man,
This leap, beyond my limits,
This try, far and wide,
Fear of disappointment,
Hesitant to try,
But again,
I was young, I was innocent,
Ten years later,
Sitting, reminiscing,
The hands of time show no mercy,
Thy fountain of youth, far from sight,
Loss of words, loss of thoughts,
I say again,
I was young, I was innocent.
