You, World Poem by james watkin

You, World

When in answering life's riddles, more
My own, entangled therein
You, World, I must simply ignore.
Discredit; or smile to deride.
Then, to look elsewhere, begin.

Truth is one; clear-voiced; unmistakable.
Rung out the eternities
Twould shake all the earth to hear.
Not this, defines you wise. Through age-long
Up-heaping of philosophies.

Can you go beyond it, you cant
What for a full perspective
Holds, in a prison's ward, the key!
Angel, burst Death's gate, to allow
Such presumptuousness to live!
