You Win Again Poem by Paul Reed

You Win Again

Never was a silence so sweet
Broken only by your sandy feet
To cause the punters such pain
A dog called 'You Win Again'

Upon your agile stretching back
Of much money a distinct lack
Except the pennies my daughter won
When she backed you at twenty to one
