You were sad (we've been there)
The dust has settled in the air
Those times are gone, we watched them go
Without a backward glance of hope
There's brighter things around the bend
Of this never-ending end

Those times are gone, close your eyes
The sun might set but the moon will rise
There's brighter days up ahead
Of this never-ending end

Oh, don't give up when hope is gone
Cause hope is never really lost

You were sad, so you cried
But we still held that hope inside
Those times now gone won't fade away
Unless you let them go and dream

Sleep now, while the sun is hot
We'll wake you in the evening rain
So you can clear your mind and see
The glowing light of reason

Oh don't let go of sunny days
Just cause they always seem to lie
If you can't catch the golden rays
You can't just curl up and die

Oh, sleep now while the worried grey,
We'll wake you up for better days
