Lorraine, this is a heart-wrenching poem that so powerfully expresses your intense pain at the loss of your loved one. And yet, liberates you from that pain by you knowing that that soul is in heaven. Many kudos for this excellent write.
Wow this is such a marvellous poem, one of the best that I read today, touching sentimental dirge like elegy, angelic n beautiful. Superb rhyming n flow. Glowing in remembrance n feeling, worded so effectively, poetically. Kudos. Soo nice to read from u again. Pls do leave your thoughts comment about my latest prose too, titled, 'stand tall and proud yet humbly bow'
Grief is such a strong emotion that scribbles mind at each moment. Death is truth in life and definite destination of material life. Soul's blissful clime and Heaven's heavenly song motivate mind still once more. Brilliant and wonderful poem is shared here is really very motivational one.10
Beautiful written poem Lorraine Thank you for sharing Mario Odekerken
Lorraine Margueritte, this sounds as though it was written about someone you cared for deeply, perhaps a deceased spouse. I have a soft-spot for grief poetry, being no stranger to grief myself, and having myself penned numerous grief poems. It is on the basis of that experience (just call me Grief Girl) that I am qualified to pronounce this poem as A + material. Thank you for expressing so beautifully what so many feel, but are unable to put into words because of the intense pain.
As soon as I can get in to edit one of the lines I will make the correction. My computer is acting up..The line should read: When your page in The Book Of Life regains..I just didn't catch it after my pc hiccuped and the internet froze momentarily on me..
hi, lorraine! this poem got my attention because i've wondered and written several poems about what awaits. if you haven't read them already you might find interesting my eye must take second place different with God thinking of one just passed where, dad? how faint and elusive our recognition that our spirits live on is certainly central to our faith—as paul said so eloquently, where, death, is your sting? and i think of what is probably donne's most famous holy sonnet, death, be not proud. comfort to you. glen
