You Tried Too Hard To See
You tried to see,
Beyond the walls
That shields my heart.
You tried to see
Words I left unspoken,
And a soul that fills with warmth,
Once in a blue moon.
You tried to see mysteries
When my heart was painted on my sleeves
Clear to a child
You saw what you wanted to see
And it wasn't me.
