We were lying on sand
Side by side.
Moonlit starry sky above us
And silence draped earth below.
Wind was whistling from time to time
But we did not speak a word.
We did not have to.
Yet, we could hear each other's words
Loud,
Crystal clear.
After a while
You rolled over,
Looked at me
And smiled.
I smiled back.
When we stood up
You kissed my lips
Softly
Tenderly.
And then walked away.
And then I found
My heart was singing those words
You spoke through silence.
