You Never Know Poem by Vanessa Dizon Alvarez

You Never Know

You never know whose heart you mend,
Whose broken soul begins to bend.
A smile, a hug, a word so small
Might be the thing that saves it all.

You never know what pain they hide,
What storms they battle deep inside.
Your kindness might just be the key
To set a weary spirit free.

So don't delay, don't wait to start,
Just lead with love and open heart.
Don't wait for skies to turn to blue
The world is waiting now for you.

Be kind today, in word and deed,
You never know who's most in need.
A spark, a light, a gentle tone
Might help someone feel less alone.
