You Never Cared For Me Poem by James Jennings

You Never Cared For Me

You always told me that you loved me
I waited to see if you would ever just be with me
I'm done playing these games so I'm walking
Thanks for the memories but I'm done with your lies
I used to think you were the one for me
But then I found out the truth and now I see

You never cared for me even though you said you did
You lied so many times but I'm glad were through
It's all over but I only wish we could start again
Sometimes late at night I think about you
I lay here and picture the last time I held you

Lately its those thoughts which keep running through my mind
For you I'd stand tall and walk the line
But I guess there's nothing left to say but goodbye
Life goes on even though you're not here by my side
One day I hope we can become friends again
