You Broke My Heart Poem by Thomas Dooley

You Broke My Heart

Rating: 5.0

You broke my heart
As much as I still love
I will never let you be my friend

You broke my heart
As much as I want to restart
I will never let it go that far

You broke my heart
As much as you say you need me
I will never let you see me

You broke my heart
As much as you lie to me
I will never let it stay in my mind

You broke my heart
As much as you smile
I will never let be the way I picture you

You broke my heart
As much as I like your west indie voice
I will never let be glorious

You broke my heart
As much as you changed me
I will never let that define me

Remember it was you that broke my heart

An insightful depiction of distress and disappointment occasioned by the exit of blissful love, well articulated and nicely penned from inner recesses of the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Thomas.
