Come, stand by me, my true love
Let me be your daily strength and support
Safe, quiet harbour, away from stormy seas
Love that warms and cradles your heart.
When your steps falter and all seems grey
And you feel too weary to take another step
I will be there to comfort, never leaving you.
My life is fulfilled, overflowing so complete
Knowing you, loving you, my soulmate.
You give such joy, happiness and dedication
Giving each day its sweetest purpose, seeing you.
I thank your parents for your birth
Creating the wonder of you, my beloved
