You And Me Poem by Joe Fraccalvieri

You And Me

Build me a bridge--
a bridge to your heart
that wherever we are
we are never apart

Construct for me a mental cage
made with bars of carbon steel--
strong enough to hold my rage
far from the scars that I still feel

Place within a silver bowl,
your thoughts-- your dreams--
your soul

And into these, stir those of mine--
to make our spirits whole
