I love this sonnet - You are conspiring yet I am planning and planting
“while you are walking I am walking and working, ’ did you mean “while” or “While”? “You believe in strong lines I am in shadow lines, ” ……. “shadow” or “shallow”? either way, it is mysterious to me, i.e. I don’t understand your writing (some of it anyway) . : ( “You are conspiring yet I am planning and planting; ” …………. to my mind, “conspiring” and “planning and planting” are alike. “You are compatible with smiling me with smiling and crying; ” ………IF you mean “me” can live comfortably with both smiling AND crying, while “You” is compatible with smiling only, then I’d say this is more evidence that “You” and “me” are not going to be very compatible with one another! **** [**** Yes, this says it “all”: “Topic(s) of this poem: conflict, contrast, relationship”] I THINK the author made his main point, but I did not understand a fair amount of the poem, especially in the first half. thanks for sharing. bri :)
You and I the two entity here, in this poem merge in unity
