Beyond the tumult of the sea
You're waiting there for me
In undying lands ‘yond the stars
In lands of light where no shadows are
I'm still wandering restless here
In this world's veil of tears
Where shines no light of star or moon
In ceaseless turmoil—unending gloom
‘Come home! Come home! ' you beckon me
‘Come home and at peace be
Where pure love is found here with me
In these undying lands ‘yond the sea'
So I will come to be with you
Once I see this errand through
I am a pilgrim wand'ring and
Yet awaiting my Lord's greener land
A brilliant presentation of two worlds: ephemeral and eternal. Magnificently executed and crafted.
A beautiful poem full of hope and love. Very inspiring. It fuels the spirit to go and do what is deemed necessary until such time that we are called to be with Him.
When on life's tumult sea land is a welcome site yet at best we remain pilgrims awaiting a better day and a Better Land.
