Herbert...I certainly don't know even a fraction of your 2800+ poems, but this one seems different. Without the rhyme, I wouldn't have guessed this was your poem. I knew you had it in you, the way I know that I have a rhyme or two in myself. Nice poem. John

I love your free verse Herbert. It has a spirit all its own and seems to dig deeper into your emotional core than some of your more traditional pieces - let's face it, many of them are a lighter sort of read. This one is incredible romantic without meringue or too much cream. Your images are superb, especially 'as petals spread their thighs to welcome Spring' and there is a tenderness that flows like milk through your words. A stunning piece. love, Allie xxxx
