Yellow Day Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Yellow Day

Rating: 5.0

Golden blooms lined each side of the highway,
For the exotic places had long been calling.
At last the day came to put those cares away!
You must seize the moment as time is crawling.

For the exotic places had long been calling;
And there was sunshine and gaiety in my heart!
You must seize the moment as time is crawling,
Like daffodils at springtime blooming's start.

And there was sunshine and gaiety in my heart,
And canaries perched vividly in green trees,
Like daffodils at springtime blooming's start,
And bees and fragrance drifted on warm breeze.

And canaries perched vividly in green trees.
At last the day came to put those cares away;
And bees and fragrance drifted on warm breeze.
Golden blooms lined each side of the highway!

This is a beautiful poetic form you have used. So well executed. Lovely are the golden blooms along the highway and bee and fragrance making wAy. It is refreshing to see this poetic form

Great observations of nature in harmony. The flow, the rhymes, the repetition so natural in this lovely piece.
