'Yearning For The Beach: A Treasured Place' Poem by CHERRY GADINGAN

'Yearning For The Beach: A Treasured Place'

In a place I hold dear, oh, how I miss,
Where memories dwell in an eternal kiss.
The sea, the beach, friends and family so near,
Locked in my heart, each moment crystal clear.

The sound of the waves, a soothing song,
The feel of the sand, where we all belong.
The sun's golden descent, in the evening sky,
Days of laughter and joy, oh, how time would fly.

I ponder that place, my thoughts often roam,
Wishing to return, to find my way home.
For the sea cradles memories, precious and bright,
And in the future, more moments take flight.

Each wave that kisses the shore tells a tale,
Of love, of joy, of memories that prevail.
In that cherished place, my heart found its call,
And in the sea's embrace, I long to once more enthral.
