Wonderful! Shukracharys had so much passion and kindness both. He was blinded by love for his daughter. He made his famous teaching about wine as destroyer of human wisdom. Human drama played so well through his character. Thank you for sharing this wonderful ancient story in most contemporary way.
Thank you Savita for reading the poems and posting the encouraging comments.
Your poems are beautiful. Intense in love, loss and the struggles. Your characters are so true to life. Wonderfully penned work.

Your Yayati is a great series of poems, worth of reading and rereading. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful work here!
A great write basing on the stories from the Mahabharat, .It teaches us many things regarding our social and human values, our perception of right and wrong, individual interest-ve, rses-social interest, how our love for family may jeopardize greater interest of the community how feeling of hate and revenge can bring down your own fall and the like..Your effort to write verse on the characters of Mahabharat and interpreting them is very commendable.
Hi Bharati, Thank you very much for the detailed comments on my poems. Yes, the scripts teach us a lot. But are we imbibing what is learned from them? Mahabharat and Ramayan are not just epics. They have immense relevance even in today's context. We should kindle the interest of the younger generations in these books. We should be able to inculcate in them the habit of reading and writing. (Not just texting?)
Wowww. full of incidents. The reader is thoroughly intrigued by the unfolding of dramatic events. Your narration is perfect. An epic tale of love, loss, revenge, miracle, wars, defeat, victory, etc. The action is fast n breathless n takes the reader on an adventure.
