i just remembered the reference to drones. and are hummers the four-wheeled vehicles? it is too bad that a poem which i think mostly speaks of the things of Nature is written when drones etc (for military purposes) are considerations for the poet and/or the reader. but i suppose long before people began to communicate stories via poetry or prose, there have been hostilities among men, be they involving sharpened sticks or missiles. i think it was good of you to include drones in the stroll along the beach.
five years later: i'm looking for poems for my November showcase (of poems from PH poets of the Indian subcontinent. i'm looking in MyPoemList and found this, and read it again, and your Poet's Notes [[Thanks! ]], and the poem again. still there are parts of poem i don't get; there are quite a few! i like the sound of it, and i like it better now that i read the Poet's Notes. why Beech, not beach in title and one place in poem, and in Poet's Notes? i shall read another. bri :)
