Life " echoes like a school for famous readers."… good one.
I wish someone tells me what this is all about? At least Mr.Carter! ! ! !
nicely written, goes off then draws the reder in with a poetic meaningful line then continues the pattern. over all letting the reader think and muddle through the lines and message.
your poetic lines set down here and there, weaving a spiderweb of images in the corner of your shower stall. wonderful - -chuck
the endeavour of writing finally closing the curtains with a big bang........marvellous write JC.
Jefferson, The 'sow bugs' echoed with 'bed bugs' in a Moscow flophouse, so you bridged the gap. And the showers in the East are most memorable. Five star poem. John
I smiled from reading the title to the end of the poem. Great write!
This is funny...sow bugs in the shower, readers. This is so abstract...to me, anyway...Eastern European to Southwestern U.S. I have to go back and reread this...maybe in the shower stall right above my head...uh, the shower head is above my...oh skip it! xxElysabeth
Many good writes have come from the shower....and probably an equal number or more of bad ones too. I wish you would post some more as I have read all of these...go take another shower.LOL
I do most of my writing in the shower....well...composing really....cuz otherwise...the paper gets pretty soggy! hugs, Dee
this starts right in on your thoughts without any hesitation. like a shower evokes a stream of unpredicted notions. makes it exciting to read. hearts, Goldy.
I enjoyed reading this - very well written with a dark, snappy wit. Hugs Anna xxx
Portentous in the BEST sense of the word is what you are. And everyone knows it even if they're too jealous to say so. t x
i think this is much better than the poem you posted last week, this reminds of you back nearer your best - (your best by the way for me of what i've seen is the image of the salesmen hanging from the wires) - it feels easier, less forced. so you have had writer's block for a while, well what better way out of it than writing a poem about the process of writing a poem. this poses an interesting thought about what kind of poet we can be, pound fancied himself as a chinese poet at times, but is such a thing truly possible, and is attempting it fighting the inevitable?
enjoyed this Jefferson
