I am honoured to be the first to comment on this lovely rhetorical poem. This is a real 'cri de coeur' to be loved. I score it ten for its elegant structure and poignant content. V 1 & 2 Yes Crimson - I would take your hand - and I wouldn't break your heart. V 3 Yes - if you were in any sort of Danger I would always try to save you. Because (V 8) I know you would do the same for me - because you are lovely. There is a truth in your last line. I know - from many years experience - that we can never absorb all the pain in someone elses heart - but the pain we do absorb makes a big difference. Thanks for sharing - Love you in Poetry - JOHN X
