Oh the 'what ifs' of life.... this is an interesting piece Linda and I like the format of the work. Of course we'll never know the answers to those kinds of questions and things were meant to be the way they turned out perhaps.... intriguing! ! And good! ! Bob
Clear implication here Linda: you suspect you were wasting your time. But, importantly you won't be the one looking back and thinking 'I wish I had done this or that'. You went the extra mile I would say. And for some men (the kind you're better without! ?) , that's probably a mistake! A very inventive piece of poetry. Effective structure and highly digestible. Also a heartfelt plea for understanding in love! You're a very persuasive advocate on behalf of real, worthwhile love.xx jim
Your have structured this portrait of regret very beautifully and given the reader just enough information. Your sensitively drawn images are very moving and the question you leave unanswered works... love, Allie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Only a woman could have written this, a shopping list of questions neatly laid out and well crafted without answers.
Linda>>>Pristinely constructed Work, my dear...The structure alone, along w/ its complimenting graphical stanza dividing, is a work of premium quality....Ahhhh, but that true grit Oriesque delivery, places the proverbial Cherry on top! In all, a solid iron-clad fine piece of Literary Craftsmanship''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''FRANK/FJR
The deep sentiments of this questionare leaves the reader profoundly wondering very well done...........
