Wow, Suzanne this is remarkable. This is one of my favorite poems about the musical experience. It's all here: the anticipation, the immersion on sound, the satisfaction of performance, and I am both performer and listener, two roles united in one person through the your immediacy of language. Glen Kappy recommended this poem to me. He said it was worth the wait. (!) Amen to that.
