World's End Poem by Kewayne Wadley

World's End

I had an idea how the world
Was going to end.
But not once did I think I would
Feel anything.
Somethings in life happen just
That fast.
An idea that incorporates
Scientific historians & conspiracy
Theories about when & where you'd arrive
And how it'd be the end all be all.
How fast it should happen
& where you should be when
It does.
To some extent we're dinosaurs
Wishing on a star,
To some extent we're meant
To be extinct in fossilized hearts
Stretched out from one end to the other.
I had an idea how the world
Would end.
I expected darkness,
But I didn't expect to feel anything.
Everything built upon expectation
Gone in the blink of an eye
Including you,
Journeying one galaxy to the next
