Let us hope that the walls segregating people will eventually crumble down! That's what history proves! The iron curtain in Russia was lifted, the wall of Berlin too got destroyed! But unless there is a change of heart in people, walls are necessary to a certain extent for self defence and better safety! You have dealt with a contemporary issue of far reaching ramifications!
Thank you so much, Valsa ji, for being on this page with such a fine review and valuable inputs that help us perceive the situation in right perspective. We can't just do away with all kinds of walls in a go. (I wonder if there are any 'good walls' v/s 'bad walls'?) .
We are all one! ! ! ! Aliens on earth. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
There is no real world without walls I think. If Trump's Wall is only to stop illegal immigration, is there anything wrong with this wall? The Wall in Germany had to come down, and it did. Germany is now far better off, in my opinion.
I fully agree with you, Michael. It somehow relates to ideological walls which are creating more trouble than physical walls. Yes, all redundant walls are bound to fall when the time comes.
Take heart, Rajnish Manga, this will pass. Berlin Wall was demolished and the divided Germany was united. two Vietnam/s were united, two Korea/s might soon. But yes, your cry is in place. A well-thought out poem.
Thanks for sharing your views on the subject. Let's hope this is a passing phase.
Close all doors and windows And built a huge wall around your kingdom Proclaim about freedom poke the nose into others Chimney! What a contradiction sir....... thanks for sharing my10++
Thanks for being on this page and for sharing your views, Dear Friend.
Yes there should be more bridges than walls, you r so right and thoughtful. Kudos to this great excellent poem sir!
I fully endorse your views that the world needs more bridges than walls today. Thanks for your kind words of appreciation.
Rajnish ji, with this poem you have stirred up a thought so vital and significant! Walls are built by human beings. Is this the only way that dreams can be fulfilled? A name so apt - " Don" ! ! Rajnish ji, thank you so much for this 'wake up' poem. How can we ever achieve world peace? ? ! ! .......A full score for you dear Sir!
This is such a thoughtful and lovely review of the poem and I heartily thank you for the same. It also shows us that the world has become a small village and not a fragmented whole. As such, anything happening in one part of the world will impact people living in other parts. Walls erected on ground or in the minds of the people will have a great bearing on world peace which is of prime importance today.
Don would like his dream project completed As soon as possible despite all opposition. Where's the dream of a world without walls? Reality international...thanks
CONTD PART SECOND China wall is great why USA should be late.Mexico must not have its way POTUS has to lead the way. So building a wall over years a project has to stay.Give cash away... How else will you improve economy of such a vast country in a jiffy
Thanks for your lovely poetic comments, Dear Friend. The rhymes give it an additional force.
once you build a wall you create employment and spend money steel and cement are produced. then when all pockets and stomachs are full like the Berlin wall pull it down again you will become richer and poor guys wealthier they will take the rubble and build small homes and earn costs so let the wall come up
A dream indeed, Rajnish! It's high time that we stop building walls and prisons. And welcome each other to paradise on earth. Well crafted poem!
Yes, an ancient dream, which has survived generations of dreamers. Thanks for your kind visit and a thoughtful review.
Thank you, Dear Friend. You made my day. I have read the Robert Frost poem and was amazed by its reach and depth. Following lines are worth quoting: Before I built a wall I'd ask to know What I was walling in or walling out, And to whom I was like to give offence. Something there is that doesn't love a wall....
I doubt if that wall will ever get finished, it has to be so exceptionally long. I prefer 'a world without walls'.
