I doubt if that wall will ever get finished, it has to be so exceptionally long. I prefer 'a world without walls'.

Let us hope that the walls segregating people will eventually crumble down! That's what history proves! The iron curtain in Russia was lifted, the wall of Berlin too got destroyed! But unless there is a change of heart in people, walls are necessary to a certain extent for self defence and better safety! You have dealt with a contemporary issue of far reaching ramifications!

Thank you so much, Valsa ji, for being on this page with such a fine review and valuable inputs that help us perceive the situation in right perspective. We can't just do away with all kinds of walls in a go. (I wonder if there are any 'good walls' v/s 'bad walls'?) .

There is no real world without walls I think. If Trump's Wall is only to stop illegal immigration, is there anything wrong with this wall? The Wall in Germany had to come down, and it did. Germany is now far better off, in my opinion.

I fully agree with you, Michael. It somehow relates to ideological walls which are creating more trouble than physical walls. Yes, all redundant walls are bound to fall when the time comes.

Take heart, Rajnish Manga, this will pass. Berlin Wall was demolished and the divided Germany was united. two Vietnam/s were united, two Korea/s might soon. But yes, your cry is in place. A well-thought out poem.

Rajnish ji, with this poem you have stirred up a thought so vital and significant! Walls are built by human beings. Is this the only way that dreams can be fulfilled? A name so apt - " Don" ! ! Rajnish ji, thank you so much for this 'wake up' poem. How can we ever achieve world peace? ? ! ! .......A full score for you dear Sir!

This is such a thoughtful and lovely review of the poem and I heartily thank you for the same. It also shows us that the world has become a small village and not a fragmented whole. As such, anything happening in one part of the world will impact people living in other parts. Walls erected on ground or in the minds of the people will have a great bearing on world peace which is of prime importance today.

once you build a wall you create employment and spend money steel and cement are produced. then when all pockets and stomachs are full like the Berlin wall pull it down again you will become richer and poor guys wealthier they will take the rubble and build small homes and earn costs so let the wall come up

Thank you, Dear Friend. You made my day. I have read the Robert Frost poem and was amazed by its reach and depth. Following lines are worth quoting: Before I built a wall I'd ask to know What I was walling in or walling out, And to whom I was like to give offence. Something there is that doesn't love a wall....
