World Pig Factory (Part 1)

World Pig Factory (Part 1)
Pigs are unaware that they will be born as pigs. Falling into the sow's womb is purely a matter of fate. If this life must have shadows of a previous life, we can make the following speculations:

If it was a human in its previous life, it likely committed sins—perhaps it was a robber or owed romantic debts. It faced retribution and was demoted to the animal realm because humans are considered higher beings than pigs, which seems indisputable.

If it was an ant in its previous life, just in terms of size, it could mean an upgrade, likely due to accumulated virtues. If it was a wild boar in its previous life, it's hard to say. Was it a demotion, promotion, lateral move, or a secret demotion disguised as a promotion?

In any case, it should be grateful to be born in a world-class intelligent pig factory in California. A high-tech IoT pigpen, and not in a pigsty in Cambodia in Asia or somewhere else in Africa.

Of course, it loves this pigpen. A pig that does not love its pen is shameful. Technology separates its feces from its living space, automatically turning it into organic fertilizer for the cornfield. The organic corn grown becomes its feed. Such a cycle is a model worth promoting globally.

More advanced, as soon as it is born, a dark object is pointed at it—what humans call a camera—conducting facial recognition for pigs. Initially, it feels uncomfortable (the benefits will be explained later) , like an eye staring at it. It vaguely recalls being pointed at by a dark object in its previous life. Then, with a 'boom, ' there was a blank. But once accustomed, it's fine.

As long as it can eat well and sleep well, being watched by an eye is no big deal. Only its future private life might be a bit embarrassing, but it will get used to it.

The pigpen is ingeniously constructed, well-ventilated. The fence is made of special materials, light yet strong. Fundamentally different from prison bars, they are streamlined, elegant like the waist of a little pig, or like the lines drawn by Picasso, giving pigs artistic enjoyment.

Transparent and ventilated, it is a rare gem in architectural history. It has won the highest achievement award in the World Pigpen Competition. Some poets even liken it to Eden or the Kremlin of the pig world.

Narrative Structure: The poem reads like a narrative, telling a story from the perspective of a pig living in a technologically advanced pig farm. It explores themes of reincarnation, animal ethics, and the relationship between humans and animals.

Imagery and Description: It uses vivid imagery and detailed descriptions to paint a picture of the pig's environment—ranging from the pigsty itself to the technological advancements and even the philosophical musings of the pig.

Humor and Satire: There's an underlying tone of humor and satire, particularly in the anthropomorphism of the pig and its reflections on its own existence. The poem humorously critiques human perceptions of animal life and the luxuries provided to the pigs in the 'world pig factory.'

Philosophical Undertones: It delves into deeper philosophical themes such as freedom, consciousness, and identity. These themes are explored through the pig's introspective thoughts and its comparisons with human society.

Social Commentary: The poem subtly comments on societal issues, such as surveillance, ethics in animal treatment, and the dichotomy between technological progress and natural life.

Structural Quirkiness: Each part of the poem has its own distinct style and tone, adding to its overall complexity and depth. The use of numbered sections gives it a structured feel, almost like different chapters in a story.

Overall, it's an intriguing blend of narrative storytelling, philosophical contemplation, and social satire, making it both thought-provoking and entertaining to read.
