Work-A-Day World Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Work-A-Day World

Forty words:

A hard life it seems,
far from our dreams...
no time for fun
or to sit in the sun
idling the hours away.
For bread we have none
until toil is done
and we take home
our pittance of pay.
